Sleeping up to 8 people, the Vango Castlewood 800xl offers off-set sleeping pods in a vis-a-vis design, featuring a lightweight 70 Denier polyester fabric. Packed full of great Vango features giving you great value-for-money. Popular with Scouts, family campers, and adventure campers, the Castlewood 800xl is designed in the NEW Mineral Green colour, and offers technological advances in the form of ColourLok Eco technology – enhancing the lifetime of the product by reducing the effects of UV degradation, and slowing the fading process.
- Nightfall Bedrooms – offer a darkened sleeping space, ideal for those wanting to sleep later into the day, or go to sleep earlier. These Nightfall bedrooms are not completely Blackout inners but offer great resilience against the early morning light.
- ColourLok Eco Technology: an advanced style of colour-dying fabric, which allows the process to save 60% less water in the manufacturing processes, and reduces carbon emissions. The ColourLok also applies a protective layer against UV rays, which degrade the fabric and fade the colour.
- Off-set Bedrooms offer two bedrooms sections, which are removable, should you wish to adapt the tent to give more living space should there be less people camping.
- Off-set Mesh Doors allow for greater ventilation throughout the tent, to help reduce condensation.
- Sentinel Active 70 Denier Polyester – a lighter weight tent fabric, waterproof to 3000mm and ideal for adventure camping during the Spring to Summer camping months.

Polyester is the most popular fabric for tent manufacturing, as it is durable, reliable and lighter in weight. Polyester does not breathe though, which creates more condensation. Polycotton – a blend of polyester and cotton, primarily cotton (usually around 65% cotton / 35% polyester split). Polycotton is a more natural fabric for camping, as it is breathable, far more durable material, reducing the effects of condensation. Offers greater versatility in hot and cold climates.
