The Vango Harris TC Tent is the perfect weekend tent for all weathers. Whether you are enjoying a 30+ degree heat wave or a chilly morning frost, the Harris 500 is a good place to be. The main specs of the tent are to be well ventilated and flexible while still providing enough space to shelter away from the elements. Light-weight fibreglass poles help to reduce the pack size and weight in comparison to an air equivalent, meaning that it isn’t going to completely fill the boot of your car. The polycotton fabric not only has a great lifespan but it is naturally breathable, so it will be a more comfortable environment inside the tent than outside. Also, the tent will be quieter in the wind than a normal tent, let alone when rain starts to fall.

The versatile style of the tent allows you to bring the outside in by opening up the front door. This can be achieved come rain or shine as the front canopy gives you enough coverage so that showers won’t drive into the main body of the tent. Not only are the poles pre-angled to increase internal height, but they are also colour co-ordinated to make pitching the tent easier. The tent is separated into three main areas; a sleeping area which can accommodate up to five people and there is a divider to allow privacy, a main living area spacious enough on a rainy day to offer extra room to feel comfortable and a built-on open canopy offering a great area to cook or leave your muddy shoes and boots before entering the lovely, clean-living area. The side door has the option to be used as a canopy by buying some king poles.

The tent has key features such as dark ‘Nightfall bedrooms’ which enable you to have a longer and better night’s sleep as you won’t be waking up when the sun does. Inside the bedroom there are also storage pockets to give you an easily accessible point for storing items like phones or torches so you can find them in the middle of the night. Other important features include cable entry points, privacy curtains and mesh windows internally and low-level panels externally. Our favourite feature about the tent has to be Vango’s SkyTrack System, which gives you the flexibility to hang lighting or storage organisers up by the bedroom section, thus maximising the space you have and taking your comfort level up a notch.

The Vango Harris TC 500 is great for couples or even small families; it can be used for short weekend trips or longer breaks away. The tent has ample space for a table and a couple of chairs but ideally the tent comes fully to life on those warmer days when you flutter easily to and from the tent.
